New Parkrun PB. Looking very relaxed.

I would like to share this with you.

I did not have too much energy today and having to wait for 8am start was not good so I ate some dates. 3 exactly. I also decide to try the Run / walk / run / walk....

I came 26 out of 33;

1st in my age category out of 1 ( I like this bit) ;

14th out of 18 female AND

a new Parkrun PB of 7.8 so it is one good thing. (My best PB was a Funrun last year of 7.712)

Somehow today is not 100% sweet because I did not run all the way.

I also find the walk / run / walk / run harder, as when I just run I find the first 5 or 10 minutes hard then I just go on automatic pilot and I don't feel anything while today was a constant first 5 minutes. My hat to people who do long distant walk / run / walk / run

On the positive side, back home my legs are cool and no bother. So this method is good for no injuries

Looking great nhs! What a lovely place to run.

I often use walk/ run and whilst it does take a bit of getting used to, it is definitely kind to the body!

Well done on your parkrun PB and coming first in your age group!!

That looks like a really cool place to run! Sunshine! And you look really good, running along there. Slim, fit and happy!

Well done being first in your age group (you beat EVERYBODY who didn't enter!).

What a lovely setting for a run - and you're looking good too! Congratulations coming first in your age group. If that were me, I would be celebrating.

Looks lovely.Well done on a new parkrun PB. It's true isn't it once you are over the first 5 to 7 mins you feel almost relaxed as if you were walking and just go into autopilot. That's my favourite bit.

Running in sunglasses is something to look forward to!! Well done nhs. 😎☺

Looking great, nhs! And well done on the PB. I still have to attempt my first parkrun - Saturday mornings are not a particularly good time for me. But I did go out this morning, so that's 3 runs this week, and all according to plan so far!

Thanks viv, three runs a week is good. Not too much to stuff up your life but enough to make you feel better and enjoy it.

I did 10.2 k this morning but only 5.1 running. The new section of beach where I had extended my run was not too good, sand was too soft and I got wet feet. I think In future I will run on my usual beach and do the increase distance on concrete path.

Yes, three runs a week is manageable amongst everything else. How nice that you have a beach to run on. At this time of year I'm mainly on the roads - but I suppose that at least it saves my toes sinking into the sand!
