Week 1 complete I'm so chuffed with myself for actually completing it. May not seem much but I actually can't believe I've stuck it out haha
Thanks everyone on here for the words of advice, support & giving me the belief that I can do this

It does not matter what other people think (although here we all remember how difficult the first weeks were and we know yours is a real achievement); you feel great for having done it, that is all that matters and will keep you going when you are out of breath and your legs hurt.
Enjoy your first milestone... and the new ones to come!
It takes a lot to start the plan so a massive well done for finishing week one! Take each week slow and steady and you will finish them all with the same chuffed feeling you have now. Good luck and well done again for starting
Hi Vicky, well done you.
Remember slow and steady wins the race, and before you know it, you will be finishing week 9.
Feel proud of yourself for your achievements, you are doing fab. Best of luck for week 2 xxx
Thanks hunni. Other half bought me new trainers today. My legs, shins, knees, calves didn't hurt one bit (bliss) but my feet were aching like mad. Obviously they're new & need bedding in & felt different but better if that makes sense lol.
Good luck this week
What type of trainers did he buy you? I need to get some new ones, the left side of my left foot (underneath) goes numb after I have been running for 20+ minutes, presume it may down to needing new trainers. My right side is all numb anyway due to my stroke, so nowt new there.
Running in Adidas trainers at the moment, but they are a couple of years old anyway.
Went to the Nike outlet & got a pair that should of been £90 reduced to £15!!! Got to the till another 30% off was over the moon hahaha so he bought me some proper Nike running socks & a hair-band too lol. They are support trainers. I chatted to the guy about the issues I was having & he recommended the additional support ones.
I was running in Asics but I can really tell the difference now & didn't feel I was running with a limp last night like I did before
it does seem much - you have taken that first step and started and now you've taken a few more steps and finished week 1 - that's amazing - you are amazing! Well done.
