Oh dear! Never mind. These things happen. If you've not been accustomed to much exercise then it's not surprising that your body is feeling the strain of this new level of exertion.
When you do get back on track just make sure you run really nice and slowly. Any other exercise you can do on your non-running days is a good idea, eg cycling, walking is fab, swimming, a bit of aerobics or zumba, will all help your running and build up your general fitness levels. Running is much about the calves so they have to be tough.

That's the annoying thing...I've been going to exercise classes for years! I took up running because it was free, outdoors and I could do it when I wanted to!

That's a real bugger having spent some time on the ic can understand your frustration completely.
Patience is the key here as hard as that is, better to get fixed now than risk longer out
