Hi Vicky I am doing 5:2 diet. On week 5, so another fast day tomorrow, hopefully by Sunday I should be 11 stone. My aim is to loose around 1lb per week, any extra will be a nice bonus.
Brilliant well done you. I tried that one a while ago, couldn't really get into it. Been dong weight watchers but just not working for me. Maybe I am just supposed to be how I am Trying to just watch what I eat & now with the exercise hopefully something may happen!!
Hi I have done weight watchers online about 11 years ago with good results. Three years ago I tried the 5:2 and found it quite easy, unfortunately I had quite a lot of stress in my life (hubby made redundant, selling house to relocate with new job and twins both going off to uni) and never continued with it.
But this year I am determined to do it, my first goal is 9st 12, my realistic goal is 9st 07, probably never achieve 9 stone. Have you got much to lose? Perhaps you are making muscle, and that weighs heavier than fat.
I lost 20lbs on WW last year online but since they've changed it to SmartPoints from ProPoints in Jan I just can't get on with it. I still pay my online membership though haha. I'm a size 14 & 12st 5lb so I'd love to get to 10st but can't see it happening tbh. I lose inches faster than weight so I'm hoping to get into a size 12 which I'll be more than happy with. I'm only 4ft 10" so look much bigger than everyone I know that is a 14!!
Going to see how I go & just try to use some of my WW knowledge I guess.
Have you keep the 20lbs off? I thought I was short at 5ft 3 and a HALF!!! It is so unfair, we should have been blessed with longer legs. I can fit into my size 14 jeans now, but I have a weird body shape 37 -29 -41, so trying to get jeans to fit around the hips, means that the gape around the middle, so frustating.
Nope put 10lb back on since mid Oct which takes me to what I am now. Yes I'm very short hahaha I'm pear shaped too so I carry all my weight from my stomach down to my ankles. I struggle to find clothes to fit because I go in at the waist but have a tummy & because nothing fits my leg length (27") lol
At least you only put 10lbs back on, I put everything back on, and more as well. I think you look fab in your picture, is it a recent photo? I have some lovely dresses I want to be able to wear for the summer, so that is my motivation, as well as being fitter. Good luck with the running programme, it's brilliant. Please continue to post about your progress and weight loss. All the best xx
Awww thank you, yes it was taken first week in November in Lanzarote. That's when I started to put it back on then couldn't get back on track with xmas etc the Jan & this last 2 weeks have been birthday upon birthday with family & kids etc. I go back to Lanza in may for a week with my Mum so got 11 weeks to do something, anything!! Thanks for the words, keep us updated too & you take care xx
Stick with it Vicky, you know you can do it. Hopefully by the time you go on holiday you would have graduated and also have lost a fair amount of weight. Fitter and trimmer for the beach photo's in May. Go girl xx
You're not weighing yourself every day I hope. Bad habit. So if you are, pack it in. Once a week will do.
If you're eating the right things, and doing plenty of exercise then your weight will come off. Be sure not to eat any extra for your C25k runs as they're too short. You won't need extra grub til you're running beyond 10k
Enjoy your next run on Saturday which will line you up nicely for Week 8 and batting downhill to the finish. Have a lovely time!
You have guessed one of my bad habits, yes I do weigh myself everyday, but the reading only counts if it has been the same for 3 days in a row, which luckily it has been.
My diet has improved drastically, cut out sweet things, crisps, fatty foods and alcohol, replacing them with whole grains, veg and plenty of water and it seems to work well. I do not crave the unhealthy foods now.
Wow! You are making some amazing changes to your life and doing brilliantly! A successful run and great weight loss, you should be very, very proud of yourself. Very well done and keep it up
