Parkrun new pb

Having finished C25K in November and running for 30 minutes albeit slowly, I set myself a target at the beginning of the year to try and run at least one parkrun a month. I ran my first in January in 42:51 but didn't manage to do one in February due to bad weather and the dreaded lurgy which got me at the end of the month. So this Saturday (12th) with the weather set fair and me feeling okish I did my second parkrun and joy of joys finished in 40:46 a new pb. It's so satisfying to know I'm progressing even if only slowly. But I also wanted to say to anyone who worries about how they look when they run I bet you haven't got a face as red as mine. But quite honestly I don't care how I look I'm just glad to finish in one piece.

You haven't stood next to me- you'd be pale lol!

Well done on the p.b, great news. I've just started week6 and I'm not sure I'll ever make 5k!

That's awesome, shaving off over 2 minutes of your PB!! That's really impressive. I tend to get very red-faced after a run as well, I like to think it's very fetching :)

That is an impressive improvement! Congratulations!

My personal view on the "how do I look?" issue is that if you have enough energies to be concerned about that, you can probably run a bit faster ;)
