Off the injury couch

Hi everyone,

I started C25k just after new year. Things were going well and I completed w3r1 without too much trouble but then managed to sprain my ankle due to not having proper shoes. I've rested up for a couple of weeks and bought some running shoes now. Should I:

1 - continue where I left off and do w3r1 again

2 - maybe start at week 2

3 - start over again

Any advice will be appreciated

I have found it better to go back and start again. Tche first time I had an injury, I started again at w3 but this aggrevated the injury again. Now I go back to the start and, if I manage that OK, I skip a session every now and then but don't push it too hard. This works for me. Hope you don't have any further problems.

Maybe start over and see how it feels. If it seems easy you could move on to week 2, but the whole point of the programme is to build up gradually to avoid injury so no point in trying to rush it!

Maybe play safe.. start over and be sure you are building back up to full speed gradually. Better weather too! :)

Try week1 see how it feels you can always jump to week 2 and try that or stay with week 1 , or even try week 3 , it really depends on how you feel the run goes

I agree with the others Daniel. Frustrating as it is, I would go back to week 1, see how it goes and how your body feels the day after. It is only a couple of weeks to tack onto the programme which at 9 weeks isn't very long anyway. Last thing you want is the ankle flaring up. Let us know how it goes, whatever you decide to do.

Not what you're looking for?
