People do have problems if they run too fast! Slow things right down, the slower the better, and you'll get round. The whole idea is to finish so don't bother with speed, time, distance etc.

When you slow things right down you will have more puff to complete the sessions. Have fun!

Also is you are going too quick you will get hurt.

Hiya! I'm on Week 4 as well. I've noticed that my calves have been feeling the burn a little bit whilst I switch from walking to running this week, too. However I never get sore the following day (I do warm-up stretches and repeat these after the session). I think it's because we're making a big jump from running for about 9 minutes to 16 minutes. If it really is hurting so much though I suggest taking it slower, as misswobble suggests =] Good luck, you're doing great!

I found stretching helped a lot as week 4 works your muscles a lot compared to the previous weeks. I somewhat regret not stretching from my last run as the next day I sightly pulled my hamstring by bending over to pick something up!

Its definitely recommended.

i recommend the stretching - i had loads of problems with my knees but for the last few weeks have been doing regular stretches and now am problem free. touching my toes seemed to really help - well trying to touch them i mean. but i notice its getting easier by the day
