Just got my charity t-shirt ready for the big day ... although i may only wear it for training and after the run as its heavy cotton and I think its going to absorb water like a sponge not good when swimming across the river Trent and then having to run ~3miles.

Its the Men's Health Survival of the Fittest in Nottingham on October 15th so I'm in training for that it will be my first ever race and its a tough one take a look.

There are 17 of us from work doing it and hopefully raising a lot of money for a good cause.

Oh boy! Just had a look at that link....and am off for a little lie down! Looks tough but lots of fun. Fantastic cause and I'm sure with 17 of you doing it you will have great fun (along with the blood, sweat and tears!) Good luck with your training!🙂

Very, very scary...but exciting... Well done you for even thinking about it.

Maybe practice wearing it in the shower and then running around the garden???? :)

Good Luck with the training!

I didn't have a lot of choice but I'm oddly looking forward to it now :)

I've got myself a nice UnderArmour cold weather long sleeve compression top that I'll be wearing for the run itself. I've gone out in the rain a few times in it and it keeps me nice and warm and doesn't get soaked and heavy.

Yeah I'm doing upper body workouts on the days I don't run to prepare for that, got a long way to go but I'll get there and will have a little help from my team mates on the day too.

I might need help lifting a cuppa (or a pint) after the run but that's what straws were invented for ;)

We should be having pictures taken by the event people and I'm sure friends/family so I will post some.
