Torrential rain? Check

Gale force wind? Check

Mind and body in doubt? Check

Week 4 run 1 done? Check!!!!!!!

To say I am cloud 9 is an understatement. Who'd have thought I could run for a total of 16 minutes? !! Awesome.

Well done! Running in this weather shows true dedication! :-)

Very good ! If you can succeed now when the weather's awful you're really going to love running when its lovely and sunny.

Thanks Henpen- you're right! I hadn't thought that far! Although I quite like slipping out under cover of darkness 😊

Doesn't it make you feel fantastic?! My family always try to discourage me from going out in the cold, snow, rain (and I could be easily swayed mind you) but they don't understand how good you feel after your run and how you get hooked on it.

Sometimes families aren't very supportive! My husband is a great one for finding excuses not to do something. I've given up, and do them when he's not around. Then he gets worried when I'm out on my own. It annoys me when he successfully puts me off. On the other hand I can't force him to come with me - that's no fun either. Sigh😕

It does... your post made me smile.. as you know from my past posts, my husband was always getting me out there... ( still is, with Couch to 5K+).. he had a list of encouraging???? comments... e.g." when you're wet, you're wet, drop of rain never hurt anyone... well you've got warm gear on..", etc, etc..

But as you say... that after run feeling is amazing... Wish I could bottle it!!!

Too true. ....I wish that natural high would last a bit longer!

WOW!!!

Go you mummybrummy!

To run is challenging enough... to run in the kind of weather we have had/having is very commendable! ( I secretly gave myself a little pat on the back when I had been out in the direst of dire!..You do the same :) )

Well done! I started C25K in September, so looking forward to running in the spring and summer months this year. Mind you, nice hot shower much appreciated once you've been out in the cold and wet...and that virtuous 'I've done my run' feeling!
