I got a new head torch for my birthday, and a lovely orange reflective jacket so I could run in the dark and not get run over. Of course it's been wet and miserable for the past several weeks and when I've been able to I've managed to run during the afternoon. I guess I've been putting off the inevitable. So tonight the husband shoved me out the door rather than risk me not running and ruining his TV with my moaning and whinging about not getting out. Of course no one turned up for running club, I'm not surprised as its torrential out there and blustery, why would you (and some of the runners did the half marathon yesterday). So I thought well I'm here now, I'll get my 3.5 miles done and try out the torch. What a revelation - I avoided the massive puddles, the dog poo, and watching the light flickering off the rain was hypnotic. I ran without music for safety and I found the run hard with the driving rain but the torch did the biz! I didn't get run over but I did notice they'd launched the life boat as I ran round the harbour!!!!
