I was doing so well, about 3.5k in 30 minutes but now have a sore hip. Unable to run trying a few excercises hope this helps.

Rest up a bit. When you do get back out there go nice and steady. No need to push things

Yes , have a rest Bolton until it feels better.

Loads of time to continue with the programme, no rush. Get yourself right first and then youre laughing :-) xxx

I had a pain in my hip while on the C25K programme, felt like a trapped nerve. I did some stretch and flex exercises such as squats and it eased and went completely. Maybe I twisted my leg while running, not sure what caused it. Hope it goes completely

I usually run on the beach. At one stage I had to run on asphalt for two weeks and had a sore hip. Took Nurofen and rest to survive. Once good, went back to beach running. No pain, no problem. Maybe not linked but worth checking the pounding you do.

same problem, saw a sports physio and after half an hour massage felt so much better, I am now doing the excercises he showed me, he said it was caused undoubtedly by the fact that my running shoes were worn out, he said I was basically running on cardboard, so it might be worth looking at yours x

Only had my shoes a couple of months and they cured my knee problem right away. I found that the excercises wern't helping so I been resting until completely pain free. If it doesn't clear up soon will go to a physio. Fingers crossed Inwill soon be back in the saddle so to speak.

Started running again after six months rest because of hip pain. Gone back to week five, managed 10 minutes the first time and twenty the second. Not going to push myself to hard I do not want that pain again.
