I was itching for a run. But a rest day is a rest day.

Rest is important for muscles to grow and get stronger.

So despite a lot of urge to go out and run, I am waiting for tomorrow to do W8R3.

Good luck to everyone who is running today (y)

Even on a rest day, I think about where I will run next and plan my route, check out the forum a hundred times but it is still hard not to run! Today is a run day for me so I had my fix already, now two rest days and then hope it will b parkrun!

Thanks Joolie.

On my rest days I do walks and CrossFit...so some cross training.

But yesterday I just rested and looked back upon C25K progress so far!

I am doing the marcothon in December so also, been planning routes. Need more than one route in case one is flooded or it snows.

Fingers crossed!

What works for me is to run on Mon, Wed, Friday, during lunchtime. the weekend is for rest and all the other essential stuff like shopping.

That sounds like a good plan indeed.

I do Mon, Wed, Fri too...and sometimes also Sun if I am feeling particularly strong. If not, I just sleep, rest and do as little as possible :-)

To be honest, I go swimming during the weekend. I dont count that as part of my exercise, I get about 30 mins of pure length swimming :-)

Yes, rest days a re very important! You could do something else though, a nice brisk walk in the fresh air for instance. XX

I have got a totally waterproof Ronhill Goretex jacket...so I can walk or run outdoors even in pouring rain.

Looking forward to doing more of that after graduation :-)

If you did todays Crossfit WOD and still have energy to spare you are a machine!

Sadly, the traffic was too bad Rignold. So I didn't get back in time for the WOD :-(

It's true, and we should revere the rest day. It's not a rest day for our body though as it's when it does it's best work, and gets busy healing

I'm on a mile a day at the moment so no rest days but I know when I was doing 30 mins *3, I walked on the non-run days and it felt so odd 'just' walking!? Who'd have thought it?!
