I was itching for a run. But a rest day is a rest day.
Rest is important for muscles to grow and get stronger.
So despite a lot of urge to go out and run, I am waiting for tomorrow to do W8R3.
Good luck to everyone who is running today (y)

Very true Ash !
Thats the wonder of this programme I think. It uncovers parts of you that you didnt know existed ! I wonder how many of us a year ago wouldve been miffed because we couldnt go out for a run !
Good Luck for tomorrow ! xxx
Even on a rest day, I think about where I will run next and plan my route, check out the forum a hundred times but it is still hard not to run! Today is a run day for me so I had my fix already, now two rest days and then hope it will b parkrun!
What works for me is to run on Mon, Wed, Friday, during lunchtime. the weekend is for rest and all the other essential stuff like shopping.
That sounds like a good plan indeed.
I do Mon, Wed, Fri too...and sometimes also Sun if I am feeling particularly strong. If not, I just sleep, rest and do as little as possible
Yes, rest days a re very important! You could do something else though, a nice brisk walk in the fresh air for instance. XX
If you did todays Crossfit WOD and still have energy to spare you are a machine!
It's true, and we should revere the rest day. It's not a rest day for our body though as it's when it does it's best work, and gets busy healing
I'm on a mile a day at the moment so no rest days but I know when I was doing 30 mins *3, I walked on the non-run days and it felt so odd 'just' walking!? Who'd have thought it?!
