W9R3 done it! Woo hoo!!

I've done it! Completed W9R3 this morning. Decided to go a little slower today with the hope that I might still have something in me after the 30 mins to keep going for 5K. Wasn't desperately hopeful but......I've only gone and done it!!! 35'20" and a full 5K. Onwards and upwards πŸ˜ƒ

Excellent run!

Congratulations on graduating, and on your first 5k!

Time to make a plan for keeping that running going after graduation - it's always easier to keep it up than let it slip and have to re-gain that hard earned fitness. Let us know how you get on.

Well done!

Lots of ideas on where to go from here but not sure what to do first! I've always said I'm not bothered about speed I just want to be able to run but now that I'm a runner (yes me!!!) I can work on speed and stamina. I'm going to try to keep up the 3 runs a week, maybe doing a slower full 5k a couple of times and a slightly faster 30mins for the other run. Also might try some new routes. Decisions decisions!

I tried pushing myself too much but my legs told me off, so started with 3 X 30 mins, then did a 5k parkrun on Saturdays. 6 weeks on, doing 5K X 3 times a week - not fast (around 35 mins) but not built for super speed!

Ooh...that's great ! Well done.
