My first run with a running watch as opposed to Runkeeper....photo & stats.

I treated myself to a TomTom Runner Cardio as a present for graduating after a failed attempt with an old Garmin.

It turned up a day early which meant I could take it out on this morning's run.

Today I cranked it up to 36 minutes for the first time and just wanted to maintain a constant pace and enjoy the moment.

I felt I ran really well, consistently and included two tough hills to start and finish with.

The watch was truly awesome which uploaded seamlessly onto Tomtom's MySports website and my phone - I have made it sync to RunKeeper which I then post on Facebook as a means of motivation.

The watch itself which was very comfortable and no problem wearing whatsoever.

I loved the fact that I could see my stats on the move and how far I had gone etc

The picture is my stats that I have photographed straight off the TomTom website (because I couldn't remember how to take a screen shot) and was just pure running. I have not included my warm up or warm down walk.

I hope you find this interesting and any comments, advice or questions would be welcomed.

Richard

Christine

Have you looked on Amazon as they have reduced some of the Garmins. The forerunner 10 was something like £65ish if I remember.

That looks familiar :-)

I bought a TomTom Cardio Runner back in August - the biggest selling point for me was the built-in heart rate monitor so no chest-strap required. It's nearest competitor is the Garmin 225, but it's significantly more expensive.

It's a great watch and I highly recommend it :-)
