Sorry, struggling to find advice on here for this, although sure it's here's somewhere.
Last night I went out to my local park (my preferred destination) with a little head-worn torch but it wasn't nearly bright enough to properly light the way unless I looked down the whole time.
Could anyone recommend a fairly bright head-worn light please, I'd ideally run somewhere where there is little street light?

This was talked about the other day and Lenser and Petzl were mentioned. There's another Derbyshire company which sells them but I can't find them on Gurgle. There is a huge choice on Amazon. You can read reviews about them, and what to choose on Runnersworld etc, and they go through the pros and cons of LED versus the others, lumens and such like. I borrowed my husband's headtorch, which he uses for electrical work, but it was too heavy and kept slipping down, which is not what you need when you're running

Yes - it's good! Don't ever turn it on unless it's on your head as I had white spots in my eyes for an eternity after making that mistake! !!!
Alpkit Gamma - it's a good choice of head torch at a very reasonable price. The only thing to watch for is to check that the cover on the battery pack doesn't break. If it does, contact Alpkit. They've been known to replace them free of charge.

We ran with small hand torches last winter. Even on the main road it's hopelessly dark and you can't see where you're putting your feet. Some of the group wear those flashing arm bands too
