New running shoes!

Thankyou for all your advice on first pairs of trainers the other day :). I got gait analysis as advised and now have a very shiny (slightly too bright for me!) new pair of running trainers. 😆

I've just worn them out to repeat w4r3, I still struggled a little with breathing with the second 5 min run and needed a 20 second break midway but did an extra 2 min run at the end, so feel nearly ready to move on up to week 5!!

The new trainers look great (can't ever be too bright)- why is it that every pair of shoes uploaded here are the same colour as my game-face?!? :)

According to my 12 year old my face clashed with my trainers at the end of my (hot!) run tonight!!

And mine! There is a photo of me somewhere with a t-shirt on the same colour and you can't tell where the face and neck stop and the t-shirt starts!

Lovely shoes! Don't worry a couple more runs and they will tone down a bit, although they look fab as they are 👍

Yes they are pretty things! Sure a bit of colour on the old milk bottle legs will tone down the colour too haha :)

Well yes I got suckered into the asics lady telling me the right socks were as important as the shoe lol! She saw me coming... Gullible newbie tattooed on my head maybe?! Luckily we have asics in our local outlet shopping centre!!

Socks are important - I have particular socks that I wear - partly because they have wee mottos on them such as "Run" on the left sock and "Fast" on the right but they are padded in specific areas and tight in other sections. Enjoy.

Ooh, new shoes! Lovely, did you notice a difference in your run?

Yes my ankles aren't hurting this morning after running yesterday evening :)). My memory foam Skechers from the back of my wardrobe were super comfy to walk in but just not supportive enough to run in, can definitely see the point in proper runners.

I love them, the colour is wonderful. They will make you fly throughout the rest of the programme.
