First 28 minutes work out this afternoon and managed just over 5k at a pace of just under 11km/h. A hard one though since I had a forced 4 days break due to bad weather.
It felt hard as I went near enough straight after work at 530pm. I normally go in the evening after dinner so I found it a bit hard but still pushed myself to finish it.
I am doing a 6k run at Stowe garden at the end of next month so feel pretty confident.
That is fast for this stage in the programme; if you're hoping to do longer distances when you graduate, practise getting comfortable at a slower pace now otherwise you're likely to set out at this speed and crash and burn before you're done!
I would have to disagree with my esteemed colleagues above. If 11kph is your comfortable pace, keep at it. You seem to be handling the increased times on the programme fine.
Your pace may drop as the distances increase, thats only natural but your doing grand.
That's very fast for this stage when the whole point is duration not speed or distance ;)If it is a comfortable pace for you keep going, if hard slow down I agree you will probably need to slow down for longer distances Happy running nearly there (well actually you are there already but nearly graduation !!)
