Stopped at W6 R2, how to get back

I was doing great until week6, run 2 after which I went to a conference for about 10 days. After coming back I got cold and still feel feverish. I also feel weak due to the stress in the conference may be. I am confused about from where should I start running again? Week 6 or earlier? How to get the stamina back to run again?

Why don't you start at w5r3 and try for 20 minutes. It's a nice round number and psychologically it's a good starting point to get you back on track. A ten day gap won't make that much difference to your fitness but a cold might. If you're still not feeling 100% then maybe leave the run for a few more days until you feel a bit better.

I have just had a 10 day break and was pleased to find my stamina appeared not to have lessened much so I don't think you should assume you've lost the progress you made - positive mindset and all that! If you are stressed about work the runs will do you plenty of good I'm sure!

I am not sure W5R3 would be a good one to ease you back in as it is one long stint of running (just my opinion, I think It would give me a mental block if I were you) so why not try W6R1 again and try and if that's ok work your way up to the longer run in W6R3? If not you could go back to W5R2 perhaps?

Good luck and don't give up! We're all behind you :) X
