I can't quite believe I am writing this but tonight I ran 15k.

Smiling so much it's making my mouth ache.

Never ever thought I could do that

I don't know Poppy.

Think I have just found me. I love the feeling of being free and just being able to escape from everything for a bit.

It's so changed my life. It's given me a confidence I never knew I had.....and a new little on line family. What more could a girl ask for.

Need to take it steady though as dont want to get injured.

Xx

Well done Jules! That's really great! You've really found your stride. :-D

Thanks Mim.

I've entered the half marathon in March next year. Probably do that one and then drop back to 10k and stick with that.

That's really phenomenal progress. As you say down there, you need to be careful to avoid injury, but if your body is telling you it's OK, you're probably OK, I think. 15 km is definitely out there beyond whatever distance it is I can't imagine ever running, myself (assuming I get fixed up). 5 km is now something I know is within reach, 10 km is an almost believable fairy tale ... but 15? "Hhayibo!" (which is a very emphatic Zulu, "not-a-chance" )

Thanks Gary.

Never thought I was capable of it either but know I must be careful not to injure myself. I do slow right down on my longer ones.

Tremendous effort Jools, well done.

You haven't mentioned feeling anything other than great but many of us (including myself) begin to flag in terms of energy at around the 15K mark so if you plan on repeating that distance, or going even further, it might be worth taking something to munch on the way (as well as water, of course). Jelly babies are my fave!

Again, well done.

Thanks Dunder.

I was fine but noted.

Think that's probably as far as I will go til next year when trying for HM in March
