So I did run 3 for week 5 and have been mentally high fiving myself since Saturday. So tonight week 6 run 1. I don't pre listen to the app so never know what I'm letting myself in for. Tonight will therefore be a big surprise (though I have read some people hated this one more than most!). But if I can do 20 minutes without killing myself I can do this. The biggest barrier I find is my own brain!! (and the lactic acid build up in my calves, lol)
Week 6 Run 1: So I did run 3 for week 5 and have... - Couch to 5K
Week 6 Run 1
As always the trick is to go slow and steady and if necessary slow down further. I got cocky after W5R3, probably started too fast, and therefore W6R1 was a bit of a struggle. This is combined with bodies taking between 5-10 minutes to settle down into a proper run rhythm: so by the time I got to the second half of that 20 minutes it seemed comparatively easy and flowing. W6R1 is back to interval training, so this can make it seem comparatively tough. If this is the case for you (and it may well not be) don't be downhearted. Kick those gremlins up the backside. Keep going - you are doing just fine.
Good luck tonight.
If you do a Google search for C25K, week 6, it will list all the days and runs for you. I found I wanted to know what I was going to be doing as it helped me. Mwell done for doing the 20 minute run, great effort π Julie
