...from my first colour run. A really good family day out, will definitely be doing another!

This run was the reason I started C25K back in July, luckily I have a Virtual Run planned for October and a Santa Fun Run in November to keep me motivated. How is everyone else planning on keeping their running mojo through the autumn/winter?

They are such good fun aren't they ;) I did Run or Dye last week. I think I ended up with more colour than that. I am thinking of Colour Run in Brighton soon ! :)

They are really good fun. Unfortunately by the time I took the picture most of the colour had come off the top and hat, but I am still getting powder out of my ears today! You should definitely do the Brighton Colour Run!

Colour run.. you lucky girl. Looks like it was a messy battle :)

As for the mojo, I'm planning a 10k with a few close friends to raise money for charity in June, so I've got to keep running. I'll also be keeping up the running to keep on top of anxiety and inside my new trousers, which (thanks to running) are three sizes smaller than the ones I was wearing back in January.

Wow mfam, that's very impressive! 3 sizes! You've got to keep running now.

Well done!

I still have a 5k and a 6mile trail in early and late November and have signed up for the virtual 10k December run. Then I have a coastal trail HM at the end of Feb, so that's a great motivator not to slack during the winter :-)

Good luck with all of that, there's plenty there to keep you going!

Virtual runs are great aren't they? The Mo run sounds like such good fun. I am looking forward to my first winter as a runner!

Wow that looks fun.

I've signed up for virtual runs in October and November to keep myself going (plus of course the motivation to graduate!!!!)

in reply to smurf1303

What's a virtual run? Not one you sit on your couch and think about, I guess!!

You run a race (1k, 5k, 10k or whatever) when is convenient for you. You upload proof of your times and get a medal. You can compare other people's times which are uploaded after the closing date.

I'm not ready to run with other people yet, but want a goal to focus on ...

in reply to smurf1303

Thanks for that. It could certainly be a way to go.

I think I did quite a lot of those sort of virtual runs before I discovered C25K PlumpPhil!!

Well done Gouldy! I bet you enjoyed that. Great bling by the way! I hope Persil has sorted out your kit!

Good luck with your upcoming runs. Take care, go steady in training !

I am injured at present but have in my mind to do a 10k road race in December if all goes well with my recovery

Having not run properly since May I don't care what the autumn/winter brings with it, dark rainy nights etc, bring it on! I can't wait

Take care misswobble. I hope you are able to do your 10K when you are off the IC. I must admit I am looking forward to the cooler/rainier runs but not so keen to run in the dark alone. I really need to join a running club!

I'm doing a 10km in Hyde Park this Sunday coming. Then I'm doing the London Winter Run at the end of January. There are the Movember runs in November and there's also a 10km along Brighton sea front in November I think. Too many to choose from! I'm finding that having a target is a good motivation to get out in the dark mornings.

Was this the one at Mote Park? was thinking of doing it but had a triathlon the day before at hever castle so i thought best not. Must do it next year or the colour run at Hever they have soon.

Yes benwill, it was the one at Mote Park! It was good fun and I would definitely recommend it for next year. Interestingly I am tempted to do the Hever Castle triathlon next year as a colleague was telling me all about it this morning!

Are you doing the Santa Fun Run in Rochester in November?

I would defiantly recommend the triathlon at Hever Castle but I would say go practice swimming in a lake, Leybourne lakes do open water swimming its different to swimming in a pool! the lake at hever is bloody cold too! so make sure you get a wetsuit and alot of people thought it was quite hilly but i wouldn't say it was overly hilly, not like a mountain!

I havent heard about the santa fun run, but looks good fun. Might have to enter it.
