Welcome. It can be a bit tough to start with, but if you just hang in there, you'll be amazed with what this programme can do for you. Are you thinking of running, and then going to the gym after the run? Or are you thinking about doing the whole c25k before you go back to gym? If you can find the time, the best way would be to do one day of gym, one day of running (unless you're happy to do gym-plus-some every second day). Let us know how you're going.

you'll be ace.
Welcome Pete! You are going to love this programme like the rest of us. Let us know how you get on.
Well done for starting. Your first run may be harder than you think, but don't let it get you down, it gets easier if you persevere. Doing weights will definitely help. You'll be amazed at the progress, so keep posting and let us know how you get on
Hi Pete! Welcome aboard, and well done for posting your intention- now you have to do it and let us know how you're doing. Do you mean you will be doing C25K on a treadmill? I don't think I could have done that!
It seems to me that lots of people have started this programme from being in really bad shape, and it has helped and supported them to unlock an inner determination to improve their fitness for themselves- not for anyone else. No-one gets you to go out running three times a week but yourself. On the plus side, it is a magical programme, it's probably the most flexible, cheap way to get fit, and you can just keep repeating until you're able to move on to the next stage. However, you are probably going to find that you think you can't but actually you can. I'm probably starting to ramble here- so the main thing is, even if you only run for 20 seconds the first run, the second you go out the front door for that run you have made a huge step towards fitness that many people just don't take.
Go you!
Welcome to the C25k family. We will be around to help you through each hurdle. We have all been in the start position with varying degrees of fitness. So good luck on Monday and let us know how you're getting on and if there's any support you need 😀
Hi! Welcome to the wonderful world C25K and getting fitter.
My advice would be: don't wait until Monday - download the app and do Week 1 Run 1 today or at the weekend. You'll feel amazing!!
The hardest part of C25K is putting the kit on for the first time and doing your warm up walk. But Laura will be with with you all the way, reassuring you and encouraging you, and when you've done your first session you will feel like you've conquered the world.
You've already made the decision to do it, so why wait?
The rest of your life starts here, and it's all good
Looking forward to your progress reports.
