Wasn't sure if we've left it to late to start exercising but Husband and I want to improve health and lose weight, completed week 1, even in the rain , we did it slow but steady, was relieved each time it said slow down and walk

Bought proper running shoes yesterday, so much choice Looking forward to trying them tomorrow

Getting lots of inspiration here, feels unreal that we could run even 5 mins at the moment but determined to try ...

I did it at 60 over 4 years ago, the wife saw me graduate and did it the following year at 61, it's great, but it's tough, just stick with it SLOWLY, speed is key to survival and completing c25k.. and you will reap the benefits of your efforts..

Never too late. Just go slow and slower again if needed and remember to drink lots of water per day and not just on run days about 2-3 litres it really helps.

C25k is an amazing plan and really does work you'll get lots of encouragement and support on here good luck 😊😊

My friend and I are 62 and 63. We’re just about to start week 7 which consists of 3 x 25 minute runs. In the first 3 weeks, I really didn’t believe I could complete 3 minutes at a time. I watched the Japanese slow running man online. He had some very good advice. After this, I slowed my pace right down and in my head kept repeating ‘How slow, can you go’. This really helped me to keep my pace down and since then, I came to believe I could do it. The exhilaration when I first ran 20 minutes was unbelievable.

Nope, not too late at all. 👍😊 Just don’t rush and you’ll do it. You’ve done the hardest bit by getting out the door the first time. Enjoy your journey, and have fun doing it together.

What? Too old? I think not! I'm 59 and hoping to graduate this week. I lost quite a lot of weight before I started on this adventure and, without a doubt, I feel happier and healthier than I did ten years ago. My goal is to still be feeling like this in ten year's time.

Best thing you could have done for yourselves. Willow and i started back in early summer and we are 63 the benefits are amazing, for both our blood pressure is lower our cholesterol is lower and i have lost three and a half inches off my waist, we weren’t looking to lose a lot of weight and we haven’t but our shape has changed

Good luck have fun doing it together and enjoy the benefits

Well done! Don’t think it’s too late, I’m 59 and just finished W6 - I would never have believed it was possible having never run before. Just keep taking it slowly - I’m the proverbial snail 🐌 😁

Best thing you can do I have loved it completed the programme in 9 weeks and am consolidating at the moment although I sneaked a 5k in slowly at 45 mins - which I thought was great.

It’s the change of shape which is a real surprise as a waist line appeared again at about week 7. Enjoy your training time together.
