I feel great now well apart from my dodgy leg

My legs ached more as I increased running times. Not injured but uncomfortable. I found resting allowed it to be ok by the next run - lying in bed with the electric blanket on full - aha. I have had to stop most other exercise to have the ability to complete C25K because of knee aches, I am almost there - 2 runs to graduation LOL!

try icing them rather than heating them.

Well done, most of us cover about that distance, so you're well on track. Rain running is the best isn't it?

You chose a pace that allowed you to complete a 20 minute run. This is a huge achievement and puts you on track to graduate in a few weeks time and to be able to run for 30 minutes. Speed can build later, you made it possible to get to week 6! Week 6 can be a little challenging too so take your time, one run at a time and make sure you rest between runs (I graduate on Saturday but still remember the dreaded 20 minute run)! Doing it is easier than not doing it, you would have had to repeat it, imagine that!!!!!! Julie

Thanks for your advice Julie I'll take everything onboard and take it nice and slow xx

Good luck for Saturday let me know how you get on xx hope you will be sticking around on this site xx

I will stick around, always great to read about everyone battling through. There's a Strength and Flex app too, gives you some different exercises that can help build up weak areas, I found that helped me. Don't allow a niggle to turn into an injury though, what sort of leg pain is it?

It's like pulling sensation when I walk it's ok sat down I can't decide if it's at the very top of my hamstring or groin

Does it improve after a rest day?

JennieHolden profile image
