Thanks for all the advise last week I decided to take the bull by the horns, and run/walk if needed a whole 10k, just to see how far it was (I was up to 6k running anyway...) Did it! OK, I walked a fair bit in the last couple of kilometres, but I finished, with a time of 1 hour, 12 mins. Not going to break any records, but something to build on.
I'm ridiculously pleased with myself

Nice one, well done! I did my first 10km yesterday too in 1:13, didn't walk any but it was pretty hilly - when you build up to running it all you're going to be ace! I love it when you get that moment of 'oh what the heck, I'm just going to see how far I can go'.
