New to the forum. Almost completed Weeks 1-3 without *too* much difficulty, then had to take a break of about a month as my ankle decided it didn't enjoy W3 R2. Visit to a osteo and a proper pair of running shoes and I've finally completed W3 R3. Starting W4 tonight. Bit scared - seems like a bit of jump! Any thoughts?
It's a bit of a jump, but you'll find that the previous weeks have prepared you for it. For the next two weeks or so, you're going to have to take quite a few leaps of faith. The benefit is that they will transform your life. Fantastic adventures lie ahead. Hope you enjoy them.
Welcome and well done in getting to week 4. Just run very slowly, stretch afterwards and take your rest days. If you need to repeat runs then do it and just take your time through the weeks. This programme will change your life in all the right ways so keep at it and keep posting. You'll get loads of help, advice and encouragement here and everyone is lovely so don't be shy.
It is a bit but just take it slow and steady, and you'll make it. Good for you, coming back to it. Best of luck with the run
Pleased to say I managed W4 R1, albeit with an extra 2 minutes of walking in the middle (long story, lost control of my ipod slightly). Definitely was a step up but felt pretty good during and after. This podcast is amazing!
Hi there. Well done you. I did W4 R1 today too. The fear was greater than the podcast itself! I was proud to finish and it was definitely a step up but it felt amazing afterwards. I kept my pace steady and made sure I stretched really well afterwards. Small steps but I don't know about you but I am surprised to have got to week 4. Good luck with run 2!

Thanks, you too! I did run 2 last night with a hangover and no break in the middle. Slightly amazed that I'm now running for 16 minutes. Agreed, it feels great!
