W6 R3 - Done ! I'm now a runner !

Well chuffed.

I did it with energy to spare and ran hard for the last minute.

When Laura said 'You are now officially a runner' you could have knocked me down with a feather.

Got my pace spot on and even had a bit left in the tank.

Recovery going well and now off for a massage, breakfast and a round of golf !!

I'm so proud.....

Ps I know there are a few of us just about to do this run, have faith, you will do it !

  • Well done. It's a great feeling isnt it.

You will never forget Laura for the rest of your life, and you'll never forget her telling you that you are a runner. :)

  • Well done. You know it's true, too, don't you? It's more a state of mind than reaching the capability to keep moving for such a long time (although the transition to just "going for a run" from all the interval work puts a cap on this, I suppose).

  • Congrats Richard. I'm so happy for you!! I'm about to go out and complete this run myself and now I feel more confident reading about your success :)

  • Going later today for that run. This makes me excited to read

  • Brilliant ! Well done Richard, you ARE a runner !

Onwards to Week 7 , exciting times ahead :-) xxx

  • Thank you all.

I cannot believe that I have got this far.

A mixture of all sorts of things have helped me achieve this but this forum is definitely part of the success.

Afro-girl & SwissGea can't wait to read about your success too - we are on exactly the same bit !

  • I listened to the bit when Laura told me I was a runner twice! Just to make sure :)
