Well, WOW, what a feeling! I am still on a high several hours after completing my first 5K. I read all your comments before I set out and was feeling that I couldn't possibly let you all down! It was hot and sunny so I solved the mascara issue by wearing big sunglasses! My family was with me to cheer me on and it was great!
I started out slowly and gradually found my pace and just kept going. The last one-fifth was hard, because I hadn't fun that far before. My legs were ok but my breathing was a bit laboured. So I slowed it down for a short while and that helped. I hadn't known beforehand but there is a not particularly steep but very long hill along the circuit that I had to go up twice, so that was a bit of a "oh dear" moment. But when I saw I was in the "home straight" as it were, I got a second wind and sped up a little.
I did the obligatory hands in the air celebration and it was wonderful! I had no idea how long it would take me but my time was 37.52 and I am thrilled to bits with that!
Thanks for all your support and to all those along the journey, keep going because the feeling you get when you achieve your goal is absolutely amazing.

That's brilliant Lynda, well done you, and that time, fantastic, had your billy whizz legs on! Fab picture! That's something I haven't done yet, but have a plan to aeroplane my way across a finish line soon, you see I told you, that smile, how gorgeous are you! 😄
You'll want to do that again, and again, and again.......and again........
Thank you - yes the hills were a bit of a shock - I think maybe not knowing in advance was a good thing as I may have stressed about that a lot! Thanks very much for your kind words.
Many many congratulations Lynda, that's brilliant. Well done! That's almost exactly the same time I did my first 5k in and, if I remember rightly, I was wearing exactly the same coloured kit too.
Edit: Forgot to say, that's a fab photo. Definitely one for the mantlepiece x
