Hi, all. I started running with C25K at the start of July, but I only downloaded the app and failed to fully explore the website, so I've only just discovered this brilliant forum.
Anyway, I've found you all now, and am loving reading about everyone's experiences and achievements.
I'm at W6, and am due to do my first 25-minute run today. I usually run along the beach first thing on a Sunday morning, but the rain is lashing against the window, so chores first, run later today!
Last Sunday was my first ever 20-minute non-stop run, something I couldn't have even imagined 5 weeks before. It was a real challenge, mentally, and I had even given myself permission to take a 1-minute walk at the halfway mark if I needed it. But, incredibly, I was OK, so I just kept going. I met my husband at the end of my run - he gave me a high-five, and I cried. I was so proud of myself, and so amazed that I had managed this huge challenge.
So, anyone who is starting out.... take heart! I was a confirmed non-runner until C25K. Even the one-minute runs in W1 left me shaking and wobbly. Now I can't wait to get through my ironing so I can get my kit on and hit the beach!

Welcome to the forum R! What a fab introductory post. You're doing very well it seems w5 r3 is such a great milestone, sounds a massive jump up in time and seems impossible before you do it. Good luck with w6 and now you've found us look forward to reading your future posts!
Hi, glad you found the forum. I have found everyone on here very encouraging and supportive and other peoples' posts keep me going. Well done on completing week 5. I am just behind on week 4 and week 5 is getting scarily close but so good to hear it is possible.i hadn't run for years so it is taking a while to get this rickety body going but the programme works and it is so exciting when you reach another challenge. Good luck 😊
Welcome to the madhouse! The programme is amazing - your emotion after the 20 minute run rang a bell here. I never thought I'd make it past the first couple of weeks, but I'm still running, seven months after starting out as a dismally unfit mum of three. So hang on in there, and keep us posted!
Welcome, welcome Rhed. You've found us, better late than never. Enjoy your run and keep posting
