Had a visit to the physio today and explained how slow progress is with my running. I am apparently building up muscle mass in my calf again (good news ) but to put my mind at rest she has suggested that I have an ultrasound scan done to look more closely at the injury site and to see how it is healing. She feels my slow progress is just down to it having been a bad tear but has also suggested maybe not running until I have had the scan and feel reassured. This is a bit of a blow to say the least but I also feel slightly relieved that I will know more reliably what stage of recovery I am at. So for the next couple of weeks it's lots of cycling with the kids for me, plus carrying on with squats, calf raises etc. Graduation? What graduation? it just keeps slipping away!
