I didn't forget to post...

So I finished week one and my plan to post every run went out the window. This is because usually I would post as soon as I got home after it, but all the runs I have done since the first of week one haven't been alone, they have been with a friend. This means that I am not getting home straight after the run and by the time I do get home I'm ready for bed and then forget about it. So let's catch you up.

The second run of week one was great. By the end of it I felt like I could keep going. I did learn however that running along the promenade of a Devon seaside town when it's evening in summer is not the best idea. There was some hassle trying to weave in an out of the people, however the view was beautiful and the atmosphere amazing.

The third run was harder but I still felt I could get through it. I didn't feel like I could keep going at the end but I felt I could finish and at that point that was more important. This time my friend and I were running around a square quay area of the same seaside town, this was quieter and basically meant going around this quay four or five times then doing the warm down walk back to the car.

Week two run one was easy. Almost scarily easy. During the run and after it I did not need my inhalar. There were a couple of times when I felt like I was lagging but I just kept going. There was an event on the quay, so we had to find a slightly different route so the people weren't in our way but we found one that we both prefer because it's longer and you don't have to go around as many times.

Despite this run being a week ago I haven't ran since. I suffer from CFS/ME and while it hasn't seriously affected me in a number of years, the past week I have seriously struggled. Struggled to get a decent sleep pattern, struggled to get through the day without a nap so running has been completely out of the question.

The plan now is to do three runs for week two this week and continue from there. I am determined to get through this this time, I just need to find a way to rediscover my love of running so it doesn't feel like a chore.

Well exactly, it shouldn't feel like a chore but please don't give it up. Keeping a regular running schedule will help your fitness though. Do some other exercise on your non-run days if you can. If you can swim that would be good for you.

How is your diet? Is it good? I ask this as my niece has ME which she has suffered from after a serious heart problem. She has found since overhauling her diet she now feels much better

good luck with your runs!

My diet is getting there, I have been improving it recently it used to be rather bad. But yeah I'm hoping it will help.

Well done so far. Hope you feel better soon and that you will enjoy getting back out when you can.
