My thinking is that Laura et al MUST know what they're talking about so I'm just doing as I'm told. I'm in blissful ignorance until the morning (or afternoon) of my walk/run. I would NEVER have believed that I could achieve the amount of running involved in week 4 just over three weeks after I started this crazy and frankly miraculous journey.
Well my dears (she say's blowing her own trumpet fanfare), I flipping well DID it!!! The wind was a killer so I kept turning around to walk into it and then run away from it (think it MAY even have helped?). I won't lie, I didn't enjoy it but the passers by must be getting used to my friend and I whooping and cuddling once we've finished the run part. I am staggered that a woman of my age and weight can achieve this and yes, my knees are sore but hey, small price to pay.
I think I may be having some sort of wonderful dream and someone's going to wake me...

that is really great jenjan it is amazing what you can do when you put you rmind to it make sure you do your stretches after though
I don't think I stretched for long enough yesterday in retrospect due to being achy and knackered but will deffo do for longer next time. It certainly is mind over body though, my friend's quite amazed at my tenacity. I'm even looking to do a skydive next summer, if I can run I can do ANYTHING!
As Slow Rob - or Not So SLow Rob - said its is surprising what you can do when you put your mind to it and put your mind to it you have. Good luck with your next run and don't forget those stretches
Woop Woop !!! ** applause** you are awesome JenJan, well done!!
So glad you are loving it... I remember the amazing feeling I got doing the programme- it IS like dream, I couldn't believe I was able to do it either! Keep on running!!
That's brilliant! Well done! I know what you mean about thinking you're gonna wake up, I still feel Laura is going to jump out from behind a tree, and say "You? Running? haha I was only joking!" but you know what? We CAN!!
I'm starting week 4 tonight after work. On paper it seems a big jump up to 5 minute runs but I dare not let Laura down. I wonder if she actually realises just how many lives she's changed? There should be a huge C25k do somewhere so we can all tell her how much she's helped us all. (I think I'm a bit in love!) Good luck with the rest of week 4, Steve.
Amazing isn't it? There were plenty of expletives going around I have to say, at myself of course! My knees are sore but fingers crossed they'll be okay for tomorrows run. Good luck tonight, if I can do it ANYONE can.
