So I had been really quite looking forward to today's run / jog and I set out after work feeling quite confident. It seemed a bit windy, but no more than usual and I headed off to one of my usual routes, where it is nice and flat. But boy was I wrong about the wind. When I turned direction on my course which coincided with the start of my 3 minute run I was jogging into a strong head wind. It was hard. Literally and I mean literally, the only thing that kept me going those 3 minutes was the thought of you guys on this forum. I thought of all the inspirational stories I had read, how you guys had made it through and I kept going. I know for sure in the past I would have just stopped. I tried to fix my route so that the jogs were with the wind from then on.
On the plus side I happened across a circus which is in town! so have a photo. This was taken on my warm up as you can see the flags are flying well with the wind!
Thanks Reidy. It's been consistently windy since I started, but yesterday was tbe worst. Thinking of driving in-land for the next run if it hasn't dropped.
Thanks Idolitorus. Tomorrow is W3 R2 for me. Going to drop my pace right down. Also thinking of driving in-land a bit if the wind hasn't dropped by tomorrow. The waves are big today!
