I'm so proud that I did two 8min runs :) who would have thought it possible!!

I'm a little anxious about the 20min run. Any advice would be gratefully received. I really like reading this forum. I have used lots of the useful hints and tips I've read so far

:)

And so you should be proud, well done! Just think of it as four lots of 5 minutes, ok, I know you don't have a break between, but just break it up like that in your head. That's what I did. And go really slowly, even slower than you think you need to and you can get it done. I also thought of all the people on the forum and tried to take my mind off of running by trying to remember all the names of everyone here. Then imagine them all around your run cheering you on! You can do it x :-)

I agree with no-excuse. Slow is good.

If you are outside then try taking notice of your surroundings to take your mind off the running: works for me. I've never been so interested in plants in people's front gardens or what may or may not be a badger sett or how a fence is put together!

It's a really mental thing but you can do it!

Can you change your route? I ran a different route on my first long run and I was so busy looking around, time just flew.

also dont run fast. At this stage its about running for 20 mins, NOT running FAST for 20 mins.

hope you do it!!
