Which part of Devon. I live there, near Ashburton; a lovely part of the world.

I hope the weather was kind to you. It was here, but Devon is a BIG county.

Keep running and keep us up-to-date.

I know NA well...I won't tell you what my son says about it!!

There is a lovely there and back run from Shipley Bridge to Avon Dam. About 6.4K in total that it is a water board access road which runs along the river Avon with rhododendrons dipping their flower laden boughs in the river and the open moor acting as an amphitheatre with sheep, cattle ponies all watching you.

If you want grid references, let me know.

Bigbury on sea is a good spot for running. A pretty big double-sided beach with an island to run on and explore...not to mention a pub for a pint!

Hi

GR is Ordnance Survey sheet OL28, 681629. It is sign posted as Avon Dam/Shipley Bridge from the Marley Head junction off the A38.

There is a car park with basic loos and the access road just follows gently(!) uphill crossing over and running by the river Avon.

Any problems, text me on 07905 443622.

Nick

Well done for getting out there. I am proud of every stage that I can do without begging for mercy. Keep it up. :)
