Thursday I did my third 10k training run. I was going great and decided to go on to 11K (+10%), but rounded a corner and saw a couple on the path with 4 dogs. I took that as an omen, turned round and walked home. I ached a bit, and work on Friday was horrible. I decided I had best not run on Saturday so volunteered at parkrun instead.
I was amazed how friendly everyone was, almost to the point I was embarrassed. So instead of chasing down the 29 minute pacer I spent the morning clapping other runners. I'll do it again, but I must say I prefer to run.
