just did w5r3!

And it was fine!! This was the first one I did off-site (without Laura) mainly because I really needed some music on the 20 min run, to stop me counting (which I do obsessively while I am running otherwise, to count down to when the torture ends!). I really enjoyed it, and felt I could have gone on for a bit longer. Now however I am totally bushed and would quite like a nice nap instead of having to go to work. Good luck to everyone else about to do this run, you can do it, there is nothing to fear!!!! πŸ˜‡πŸ˜΄πŸ˜΄πŸ˜΄

Well done! It seems crazy to run before a full day's work, doesn't it? I don't think I could run in the evening though.

I don't have music. I just listen to my breathing (checking I'm still alive!).

I know, it's nuts!! But I am definitely a morning person - and the run always sets me up for the day with a positive attitude and somehow more energy - I just feel HAPPIER! 😁😁😁😁🌞🌞🌞🌞 I really found the music helped take my mind off how many minutes/seconds were left (thank you Sia xxx)

Well done! Be prepared for people to wonder why you are smiling all day as it will take a while to get that smug grin under control. Over half way through now. cokngratulations.

Well done! I just did that same run last night after work, and even kept going for a few seconds after Laura said I could stop - I couldn't believe I'd made it!

Don't know if I could have done it before work, though! When I was done, I just needed a shower, dinner, and then an early night!

Yes, anyone who's worried about this first long run, you can do it. The plan is designed to get you ready, and if you've made it through the previous runs, you're ready. Now I can't wait to get out there and do it again!

Well done Amy, there's no way I could have done this AFTER a day's work!! Horses for courses!! All the best with w6 (have you taken a look yet and are you wondering why r1 and r2 look easier than our last run? Is there some trickery afoot?!) πŸ‘Ώ

I find morning running almost impossible! Evenings are definitely nicest for me - but do take a bit of mental discipline to make sure I do still get out there after a tiring day. I just can't run without eating something first, and find it best to leave about 2 hours between eating and running. No way I'm getting up at 4am to have time! ;)

Lol yes 4am would be a little early for me too! Funnily enough I always thought I would never be able to do anything at all before I had eaten breakfast as I tend to get a bit jittery and faint if I don't eat really regularly. I have quite low blood pressure and thought I also got low blood sugar, as a result of not eating. Then an anaesthetist suggested it could be dehydration (this was just before an op and I had fasted and felt fainty). Bingo! I now drink loads of water before my run and I am fine without breakfast. No stitches or cramps (touch wood!) either! Hungry as hell when I get back though!!
