Graduation 5k!

Spent this morning at the Edinburgh Marathon Festival doing my first ever run with other people... It was weird but also quite cool floating along in this sea of crazy people running around a hill in the blazing sun!

Cleverly (not that I planned it this way at all) it was also my graduation run! So I'm off to get my badge :D

Oh wow well done!!! I've signed up for the 10k next year in the Edin Marathon so I'm doing w3 r2 tonight and should be more than ready for the 10k . I'm from Edinburgh too so looking forward to experiencing it!

Not that I have anything to compare it to, but it was a really nice event for beginners. The logistics were quite simple, you get a pretty nice Tshirt and medal for your efforts, and the whole vibe is amazing. The only weird bit is you get no warm up because you're stuck in a pen for 15 minutes before they let you go, so you have to use the first few minutes of the race as a warm up.

I am *ridiculously* close to signing up the actual marathon for next year, I've got a few days yet to decide... Oh god I must be insane, it would be really cool to do my first marathon on the anniversary of my graduation run though... But yes, insane, and a lot of work!
