Hi guys, I wonder if someone might tell me how I can time how fast I'm going in my runs, is there maybe an app I can buy ( an easy one, I'm a total technophobe! ). I know I'm slow lol, I would just like to know exactly how slow I am! Plus I can maybe find out what myw running speed is and match some of my playlist music to it?
Very much appreciated in advance. Now I feel less worn out at the end of the runs, I'm on week 6, I feel like I'm not exercising enough so it might be time to try and go a wee bit faster?

Totally agree with onestep. Runkeeper is great. I also happily used it until I decided to splash money on my Princess Charmin'. It'll give you everything you want and then some
Hello, I don't have any technology to help but to give an approx idea what i did was to use the mile counter in my car - I set it to zero and then drove 1 mile making a note of where I started and finished. Not rocket science but it would give you an approx idea of how fast you run 1 mile (or whatever you set the distance at), if nothing else you will see if you improve over time. Good luck - perhaps when you are ready for it do one of the park runs people have been saying about and they will do the timings for you! I am going to do this but want to graduate first and don't forget whatever the speed it's still a 30 minute run.
If you aren't mad on fancy gadgets and apps I would recomend a Garmin forerunner 10 as they will do that for you, are dead simple to use and I think quite cheap on Amazon at the moment....
i use the free strava app on my iPhone. I too am a technophobe with phones and I can't get it working properly, so I also got a garmin 15. They both do similar things, but the app is free.
I use the run double app. Like you a technophobe! It's easy to use and has 14 satellites tracking your every step. Tells you speed ( or lack of in my case) distance even cals burnt up.
