Well it had to happen at some point I guess and tonight was that! W5r2 = write off! Am sure the app paused at some point as I ran the same route for w5r1 and got much further this time and when I checked the app as I was sure Laura was going to say stop it said 4.59???! Couldn't carry on and walked a hit then ran a bit turned the app off as I came to the conclusion it was a bad day and ran for three mins more and came home! On the plus side my member of staff presented me with a running alarm today lol!!

That's okay. Even a bad run is a good run. We all have them. It's all better than sitting at home. Sounds like you were running faster and drained your tank a bit early. Try consciously running 15% slower next time, and I'm sure you'll be back on track.

We've all had them so don't fret. It's in the past and over with. What's a running alarm?

Aha! I've got one of those too! The noise sends animals crazy apparently..... and attackers.

We set it off at work today and two men from the other offices came hurtling round to see if everyone was ok!!

The noise is deafening isn't it? Apparently you're supposed to hold it to the ear of an attacker and the noise will deafen him/her. Make sure you have easy access to it otherwise there's no point in carrying one.

Consider ditching the app. For the app to run properly, your phone needs a decent network connection for the whole run, and it sounds like you haven't. If you download the podcasts and play them back (like playing mp3 music files) then the problem doesn't exist. The only downsides are the mechanics of downloading and the fact you have no choice over the music that Laura plays.

I'd recommend the podcasts too - they've worked for me as long as I've remembered to download them in time! ;)

Bad run? We all have them sometimes with no rhyme or reason. Next one will be better...

I'd just like to add that i stopped using the app and went to the pidcasts after 2 weeks of the app stopping or jumping. The screen needs to be left on our the Timer doesn't work properly too.

I've been using the podcasts and haven't looked back. Also there is music on them which really helps me run.
