2nd 1 min run in I get a pain in my left leg just below the knee and my knee gives way for a second, managed to hobble back to car and drive to A&E. seems one of my Cruciate ligaments had been damaged, so no more running for at least a week ( sad Face ).

Still some good came of it my new App for phone works, says I did 1.2km and burned 162k calories, Also met a nurse at A&E who dose think she said cross fit , she invited me to train with her and her daughter when I'm ready, should say just the running part :)

That sounds painful but hopefully you will be up and running again soon. Good that something positive came out if it too.

ouch! Hope you're feeling better soon.

I've struggled with knee pain throughout my training, and have found that giving it time to heal (as you are doing) is the best - however don't be put off if in future you get more pain there. Icing the injury with an ice pack immediately after running will really help. 10 mins three times a day. I did this and I don't get the pain any more :) (your body will adapt and heal over time)

All the best!

Very impressed that you managed to drive yourself to hospital! It isn't just the driving is it, but the junctions, the parking... But ouch! Get well soon, x

Yow.. cruciate ligament! Ouch. Take it really easy, don't run 'til it's really better. So good that you got it seen and checked straight away. You'll be back in the saddle before you know it and the cross training? Every cloud DOES have a silver lining :)

Oh no, sounds awful! The injury couch is not a nice place to be (speaking from current experience). Make sure you ice it and have a good rest, hopefully you'll be good to go in a week or so.
