Waiting for carpet fitter and chimney sweep, in no particular order. Guess which one is which? Good game. My Miss Marple instincts told me the guy with the tape measure was in fact the carpet man. Me and my little grey cells! Oops silly me. That was Hercule wasn't it.
Anyway, I digress. Confined to barracks waiting in so made some more of my knee repair smoothie. It's going really well and I think I'll be back out there by Sunday. I'm giving myself at least a week before heading back out
Trying to cut down on dairy stuff til my knee is better. To this end I whipped up a silken tofu choc mousse last night. My goodness what gorgeousness. "toe foo", my husband screwed his face up. He ate it though, and said it was lovely. I have another pot left for my lunch. You have to treat yourself when you're going stir crazy. Every little 'elps
For those still on the bench, Ancient Mum being one, you have my utmost sympathy. Being sidelined while everyone goes out to play is really hard. Hopefully you'll be back out there soon as well.

Aww cheers mdear. Was going to ask how you're getting on with the smoothies. I'm definitely tempted to make it myself, although the ice compression foot thingy is doing sterling service around my ankle. Hope you're doing your quad exercises to support your poor knee.
Chin up Sweetie, you'll be back out there racking up the miles in no time x
Not sure aboutthe tofu mousse, but I guess it can be used as a stick as well as a carrot. "Tofu? No thanks, in that case my legs don't really hurt that bad and I'll just hobble out there instead" *lol*
Tofu? Tofu choc mousse? I am sure it is much nicer than it sounds!
I have a mahooosive pot of soup on the go at the moment. There is about half a cow in there with tonnes of root veggies and barley, lentils and broad beans. I am not sick but my old grandfather (who showed me how to make it many many moons ago) said that it was pretty much a cure-all.
Tofu is tasteless, it's just veg protein, but it's there for the texture, protein and not being dairy. The choc mousse is sublime though so it's a thumbs up from me
Dairy products are said to be inflammatory so in order to hurry things along and get mended I'm all for giving a whirl. I'd do rain dances and incantations if I thought they'd get me back out the door toot sweet
I love home made soups Dunder. I think home made chicken veg soup is better than medicine I really do. Mind you it's very hot here today so soup is deffo off the menu. Tuna steak with something or other is on the cards for tea
I've not given up dairy yet Ju Ju, just for now to see if it helps me rubbishy knee.
I absolutely love Rachel's coconut yog. I'm not sure I'm ready for giving that up yet. I've held off it all week though but once I'm cured I'll treat myself to a bath in it
