I love the motivation that the woman gives whilst I listen to the couch to 5k but the music is just awful! It's basically as bad as on hold music, I currently just write down the times and stick it on my treadmill so I don't have to listen to it but I miss the motivation she adds.

You could try the app instead perhaps? It does have some bugs though, according to a lot of people on this forum...
I wasn't a fan of the music either. Try the app instead, you can use it alongside your own music. Occasionally it gets a bit confused but I never really had any problems with it. I think it may have had something to do with reception, but if you're on a treadmill it might not be an issue.
There is no way that any company would ever use "Julie" as on-hold music.... surely????
Anyway, she's not The Woman, she's Laura (she actually used to pop up here occasionally)
The music is a rite of passage. If you haven't suffered the music you haven't lived
Try running outdoors with the music instead of on a treadmill. That way you can distract yourself by observing the world around you rather than just staring at the wall in front.
"You and Julie" is the signature tune of C25k and is basically beyond criticism. Would you criticise Beethoven's 5th? Hey Jude? I am the very model of a modern major general?
Let's face it, "Julie" isn't in the same league as those. But at least it's ours!
Like some others have suggested, try the app. You can then listen to your own music. Love a bit of Kate Bush "Running up that hill" myself!
I use run double app its brill, it follows Couch to 5K and you listen to your own music.
