I cannot believe I have only one more run to go until I graduate. Week 1 back in January seems so long ago (yes I know it's more than 9 weeks ago! But hey!) Off I went and 1 min nearly killed me. Moving to 90 seconds was just far too scary - and then that 20 minute run at the end of week 5 - aaaggghh - but here I am to tell the tale. Last night 36 min and only one more before I'm officially "finished". (I'm trying to hit the 5k mark - last night 4.61km - so v close!) My routes due to the situation of my house all involve hills of some description - some gentle but prolonged inclines, other most definite steep climbs - so that is what I'm used to now - I'm sure (or am I kidding myself?) that if I were to run on the flat I'd make the 5k. (I know 30 mins is the graduation time regardless of distance - the 5k is my own goal - ie do the parkrun)
Can anyone tell me when I'm gong to start enjoying it? Rather than only enjoying the very smug feelings of satisfaction and achievement? The actual run part involves zero enjoyment for me.
