After doing W5r3 I felt great and even looked forward to W6r1 thought it would be a doddle after running for 20 mins - how wrong was I?????? 5-8- 5 I felt weary after 3 mins of the 1st run. And huffed and puffed and struggled all the way to the end. What went wrong. Gone are my Paula radcliffe thoughts and my slug with a turnip face is back :-(

You'll be fine. One bad run does not a disaster make!

Move on and put that run behind you. We all have them.

Week 6 seems to catch a few people out. The interval running messes you up again, but take it slow and you will be fine :0)

Week 6 runs 1 & 2 were horrible for me too.

Don't worry too much about it. Just put a tick in the box and take it extra easy next time. After your next good run you will forget all about it.

Had weirdly difficult runs 1 & 2 of week 6 also. Seems to be a pretty common disaster. Carry on!

Week 6 seems to catch a lot of people out after the success of the dreaded W5R3. As everyone says, put it behind you and keep going. Take it nice and steady and you'll be fine :)

Seems to happen a lot. Everyone is afraid of the long run, and then, I expect, doesnt pace themselves when they get back to intervals. Still, it is theintervals that get you to the long runs.

Oh I'm glad I came on here and read this thread. I was so proud of myself after w5r3, but I just did w6r2 and it was terrible. My worst run yet. I wasn't *exactly* looking forward to w6r3 until I saw that I'm not alone in struggling with w6.

To make it worse, my boyfriend thought he'd show his support by chumming me for w6r2. He does no exercise ever, has a far shorter cycle commute than I do, drinks and eats what he wants and he breezed through it, he was even running laps to allow me to catch up! What an *rse!

Can't wait until I'm at w9 and beyond and I can run circles around him!

W6R2 was by far my worst run of the program and I still have no idea why.

Every run since then has been great and I am sure it will be the same for you if you just dust yourself off, put it behind you and be positive ahead of R3.
