It was as if the stars aligned. Got to the sports field at 7:30am and it was a beautiful morning, horses were in the next field, the grass had been mowed so I could see the potential ankle-twisting dips in the soil, and all was calm. I didn't have any excuses not to complete the run. Couldn't believe that I was actually excited to do the run last night but my goodness did I need Sanjeev's encouragement at different stages. I finished the run with Jackie Wilson's (your love keeps lifting me) higher and higher and I was so happy I felt like doing a little dance in the field (don't worry, I restrained myself haha)!
I've seen a few posts this week of people getting ready to attempt/completing this run and I'm so happy to say I can join them. For anyone gearing up for it, really do trust in the programme and relish the challenge if possible π

Yes, I was surprised to hear that when I read it on other people's comments. I really hope the return to intervals doesn't catch me out too much but forewarned is forearmed I suppose
Well done you π I really think it pays dividends to do the prep and use this forum for all the feedback of those who have done it before us π
Such a bonus when itβs a beautiful morning too βοΈβοΈ
Iβm feeling youβre joy !
I did wk6 R1 this morning and it felt a bit like βback to the grindβ but again I read all the posts about it and was Aware it might be a bit like that.
It definitely could catch you out after the euphoria of wk5R3 but I was ready for it ππ
However just you bask in the glory of Wk5R3 for now πβοΈπ
I thoroughly intend to lol but I'm not going to let it go to my head as I know there's still a lot of hard work left. I'm like you I think. I like to be prepared and read around posts to prepare myself in what to expect or the potential challenges that could crop up. Well done for completing your first run of week 6, especially if you weren't quite feeling it after the previous stint. Onwards and upwards eh? π
Well done Pnegirl ππ»ππ»πββοΈW5R3 is a real test of your fitness and stamina. It also makes you realise how much they have both increased....onwards and upwards to week 6 π
Thanks Couchphoenix! It certainly makes you realise how far you've come since week 1 and in that sense, it's a nice confidence boost. Bring on week 6 π¬
Rather you than me! Iβve got it coming up a week tomorrow.
Congratulations anyway in you completing it and still having the energy to dance, when/if I succeed I certainly will be doing a jig at least in my head if not in actuality.
Thanks Jcksam! Yes, I didn't do the jig but I was surprised that it was my brain's first thought. Might have entered some sort of running delirium haha. I was dubious in week 4 about week 5's programme but I think the second run made me realise that I could do it if I took it slow and steady. I'm sure you will succeed at it too. Best of luck!
No, not quite haha but I really did feel like doing. Might save the dance for when I complete the programme (not being overconfident or arrogant saying 'when' but I'm determined to do it and 'if' doesn't give positive vibes lol). I think the horses have given up on me. One watched me do a full lap and when I got nearer their pen it turned around. Must think I'm crazy lol
