Firecracker

I have just got back from my w8r3 and just after I turned around a car went past me and threw a firecracker out of the window. I thought it was a cigarette until I got up to it and saw it was yellow. I then knew what it was. I was lucky enough to have got past it when it went off, very loud and part of it hit my hip. I just carried on running as I wanted to finish w8.

It could have been dangerous, it has made me a bit nervy about running outside. What possess these idiots to do such a thing.

Hope nobody else encounters such stupidity

Seriously?? I hope you called the police. That's terrible. What idiots.

Why put up with it? Report it to the Police, doesn't matter how trivial you think it is, its your right to go about your business without assault or injury!

I would report it to the police.

I've only had to dodge a few tractors, but I'm not going to argue with one of them.

Don't let a load of idiots put you off running outside.

Someone essentially threw an explosive at a pedestrian from a moving vehicle. Report it to the local police! Hope you're not too shaken or furious (know I would be!)

What a bunch of mindless planks. Bloody morons. Shame you didn't get their registration number.... I'd tell the Police about it incase they do it again. Glad you got your run finished though!

Thank you for your replies. I don't carry my phone and I didn't get the registration number, I should have done as I work in the motor trade. I don't think the police can do anything about it

I am totally shocked! That is utter stupidity and I'm glad you weren't hurt. Pity you didn't get the registration number but as you say I'm not sure what the police would have done though I certainly do think it should be reported. I have never experienced or heard of anything like that happening before and I certainly hope never to hear of something like that again! You definitely get the odd inconsiderate driver but on the whole I have found other road users to be very accommodating.
