Hubby and I went out together last night and managed to complete the 20 minute run. Totally amazed we did it, both have been on a healthier journey together since Jan, he's lost nearly 4 stone and I'm coming up to a 3.5 stone loss, we've still a fair way to go but the C25K is really helping. I've always hated running so suddenly finding a passion for it is lovely.
Amazed I ran for 20 mins W5r3!: Hubby and I went... - Couch to 5K
Amazed I ran for 20 mins W5r3!
Well done! It's such a high, isn't it?
I must admit to being a bit lax on the dieting side, and have lost just 1lb so far (I'm on week 6), but seeing the change in my fitness levels has been so encouraging. You guys have done an amazing job losing so much weight!
I never thought I would like running either (and if I'm honest, while I'm actually running, I think I hate running!) but the feeling of elation when you complete a run makes you look forward to the next one. Weird!
How lovely that you are making such progress together ! Well done on doing the 20 minuter, that's a really big milestone. Good luck on the rest of your journey.

I don't think we have to "go on a diet" or "go on an exercise programme" . What we have to do is incorporate a healthy eating /drinking diet and exercise into the fabric of our lives. I have now been running for 15 months - and more than anything else - more than running races , running faster, longer etc - is to simply keep on running. Making it part of my daily/weekly life -- just like cleaning my teeth, washing my clothes, doing the shopping, etc.
How fantastic that you two are doing this together. I wish my husband would join me! (Actually, I wish he would do the running, but on his own - I bet he'd be competitive and I'm really slow ...!).
Well done - and isn't it great to find you enjoy it?
Well done. Can't beat C25K combined with a healthy eating plan. I bet you both feel incredible!
Wow. Well done to both of you! I agree with Bazza - we are always force-fed (ha ha) the idea of diets, deprivation and exercise rather than taking a different approach of "get healthy and the rest will take care of itself". Congrats for the 20 minute run - doesn't it feel fabulous to have nailed that one?
Fantastic well done, as starting week 2 this week I love reading people who are inspiring me to keep going which you have x
Brilliant! Well done! I'm on W5R1. Only done 5 minutes runs so far, so I'm WELL impressed!
Thank you for all the lovely comments, love my new hobby & today I wore a more fitted dress to work & had lots of comments so a shinny day all round
Great stuff. Well done to both of you.
