I injured my foot about 4 weeks ago & then my treadmill was playing up so I haven't done any running for about 3 weeks. I was 1 run away from Graduation!
I have tried to get back into running this week but can't get my motivation or stamina back, the longest I've been able to run was yesterday for 16 minutes. 😫

It was a challenge I was doing with a friend. We were both very unfit & started it together, she finished and is still going strong but I can't seem to get back into it. I was getting up at 5.45 just so I could fit it in before work!
Hang on a minute, just think about what you wrote there: "The longest I've been able to run was yesterday for 16 minutes." You ran for 16 minutes!! That's brilliant. Before you started c25k that would have been impossible, but now you're disppointed because it's was 'only' 16 minutes!
This is what I'd do. First, I'd pat myself on the back for managing to run for 16minutes after having 7weeks off, then I'd go back to w5 and do those 3 runs. When you've done them successfully, you can decide what to do next- either pick up the programme again from there or just gradually increase your distances until you can get back upto 30minutes. Good luck, you can so do this.
These are really good suggestions and I was going to post something similar
You've come back from injury and a few weeks off and still been able to run for 16 minutes...that's pretty good going!! A few weeks of building it back up and you will back to running 5K...you can do this...maybe set yourself a target to help get your motivation back? Like book a 5K run for June time?
Thanks everyone, I ran for 21 minutes yesterday, which is an improvement, but it was a real struggle. Maybe it's Laura coaching I'm missing. I'm going to rest today & go back to the pod casts tomorrow and see if that helps
I would say going back and redoing some podcasts would be a good idea.
Also, have you thought about running outdoors? It's a lovely time of year and so lovely to be out there running. I've done all my running outside and just love it! I'm lucky cos I've got some nice little areas to run around so that makes me want to be out there.
Really hope you manage to get back on track - you know it's the right thing to do xx
After being off for 4 weeks maybe 16 minutes is not so bad. After my first run of week 8 I got a bad cold and was off for nearly for weeks. I did a couple of practice brisk walks and then 2 days of practice runs of 15 and 20 minutes last week. today I got back to Wk8R1 and it was fine. It was hard but it was fine. So, maybe try a couple fo practice runs before getting back to where you were?
