Op I use the c25k+ because it gives you running timings. It runs for 30 mins and u get an update ever five minutes. Try it Laura is still good on it. I'm moving onto interval training next but it good new grads. I maintain at least 1 if not 2 rest days as I'm running further now. Plus with the better evenings I'll need to fit my cycling in as well J
I agree with Jase44. The 25+ podcasts have worked for me. I started with the Stepping Stones one and now do either the speed or stamina one for one run out of three. They seemed slow at first but they have definitely made me think about pace and technique and my 5k time is improving. I have run every other day ( first thing in the morning) since starting the programme. I still need my rest days and find this routine suits me. I haven't been brave enough to do a park run but I will! My daughter and I are entering the Cambridge Race for Life in July. I never thought I'd be doing that when I started in January! Good luck with your future runs
I've done stepping stones a couple of times but have mainly aimed for 5k three times a week, sometimes going a bit further, just running with my music. I've found I need the rest days more so than before because of running further. Enjoy whatever you do next!
